I’m a journalist and writer based in Boston but often on the road. For seven years, I’ve reported and written about the life experiences and political awakening of the Millennial generation. My first book, THE EARLY VOTERS, is a chronicle of Millennials making their way through a post- recession economy and forming their beliefs about how the world works (or should work.)
I also write about travel, recreation, and pop culture—often through the lens of a social democrat, but sometimes just for fun. My forthcoming book, MOON NEW ENGLAND HIKING, will offer a reprieve from the “heavy stuff” with a smorgasbord of beautiful hiking trails throughout Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire. Find it in stores in early 2020.
In 2019, I will be reporting more exclusively on the way that Millennial voters and elected officials look at poverty and redistribution of wealth. A new book—a spiritual sequel to The Early Voters—will explore this topic in greater depth and spotlight Millennials who view economic vulnerability as a systemic crisis, and not as a personal moral failure.
