On most mornings here in LA, you'll find the city's denizens stuck behind the wheels of their cars, heading off to work, play, whatever.
Yesterday, a few of us tried something different.
750,000 people came out to participate in the LA Women's March. It was one of the largest demonstrations in the city's history and a staggering display of solidarity against Donald Trump, whose comments about women, minorities, immigrants, the disabled, and many others are disgusting and have no place in civilized politics. I have never felt so sure of my country's ability to resist its worst impulses and move forward.
As for LA, would could be a more fitting act of resistance than going for a walk?
